I capture your special moments

Turin, a wonderful city to discover

"Turin is a beautiful city. How spaciousness surpasses, I think, everything that has been imagined before." Mark Twain

Turin is my hometown and over the years it has changed a lot. In fact, from a city symbol of the economic "boom" of the post-war period, it has become an Olympic city. The 2006 Winter Games made it known to the whole world for what it really is: elegant but sober, immense but at the same time on a human scale with its 450,000 square meters of pedestrian area.

Every day I cut out at least an hour of time to walk, letting the kilometers of arcades, baroque churches and majestic palaces drag me into a temporal dimension of other times. The atmosphere is completed by historic cafes, chocolate shops and galleries.

The city has always played a very important role in the history of Italy. Here there are also important scientific, technological and cinematographic research institutes that are the testimony of a cultural tradition based on experimentation and innovation.

Perhaps not everyone knows that…

Turin has given birth to some of the most famous and important symbols of Made in Italy, such as Vermouth, gianduja chocolate, espresso, fashion, aperitif (yes, neither of them was born in Milan) and cinema!

If in 2006 it hosted the XX Winter Olympic Games, in 2022 the city will host the Eurovision Song Contest, the most important music festival in Europe.

Too little space is available to describe in words the many beauties that characterize this city. So I prefer to let the images do it for me.

Here is the first capital of Italy, seen through my eyes and immortalized by different images collected at different times.
