I capture your special moments

Florence

I was already in a sort of ecstasy at the idea of being in Florence (…) Absorbed in the contemplation of sublime beauty, I saw it up close, I touched it so to speak. I had reached that level of emotion, where the celestial sensations given by the arts and passionate feelings meet. Coming out of Santa Croce, I had a dip in my heart, life for me had dried up, I walked fearing to fall.” Stendhal

It is easy to fall in love with Florence: it is a real open-air museum that welcomes you with its museums full of priceless treasures, its squares and its churches.

Wherever you turn you can breathe endless art and beauty.

The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (better known as “Duomo”) with its Brunelleschi dome makes Florence instantly recognizable all over the world.

The square in which it is located is a real explosion of art, because, in addition to the Cathedral that preserves wonderful frescoes inside, there is also Giotto’s bell tower, the Baptistery, the Crypt of Santa Reparata and the Museum of the Opera del Duomo.

Another corner of the city known all over the world is Piazza della Signoria, where the imposing Palazzo Vecchio stands, and where the Loggia della Signoria and numerous secular allegorical statues are located, including the copy of Donatello’s David.

Ponte Vecchio

Among the most famous symbols in the world, there is also the Ponte Vecchio which, until 1218, was the only crossing on the Arno in Florence. The current one was built in 1345, to replace the previous one that was destroyed in a violent flood. Fortunately, during World War II the Germans destroyed all the bridges in Florence except this one. Today it is one of the most romantic places in the world, where it is easy to get lost among its goldsmith shops and corners from which you can admire a wonderful view of the Arno.

Outside the center

The beauties of Florence are not only in the center.

In fact, in a few minutes you can reach wonderful places such as Palazzo Pitti, the ancient residence of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany (with its beautiful Boboli Gardens) and Piazzale Michelangelo, from which you can enjoy an incredible view of the city.

“Among all the foreign cities, Florence has certainly become the one I prefer. The more you live there, the more you realize that you love it. There is something welcoming to make me feel at home.” Stendahl
